All About Terry Gomez DDS PC, Albuquerque’s Top Dentist

Dr. Terry Gomez DDS was raised in the Albuquerque, NM, area, where she attended St. Pius X High School and the University of New Mexico. She later graduated from the University of Colorado School of Dentistry with high honors.

Dr. Gomez gained experience in 1997 during her general practice residency at Denver General Hospital, and in 1998 she became Chief Dental Resident at the University Hospital in Denver. With a focus on general dentistry, Dr. Gomez strives to provide education and take the time with every patient to help them make informed decisions about their oral health. She was recognized for achieving that goal in Albuquerque The Magazine when local Albuquerque dentists voted her the Top General Dentist.

Amy

Dental Hygiene

Hello, my name is Amy. I was born and raised here in Albuquerque. I received my Bachelor of Science in Dental Hygiene from UNM. I have been a hygienist for 27 years. In nearly 3 decades of my career, I have only worked for 3 different dentists; loyalty matters to me. I have had the privilege of being a part of Dr. Gomez’s team for 7 years.

I genuinely care about my patients’ needs, and I enjoy helping them strive for excellent oral health. My goal is to make sure my patients feel comfortable and enjoy coming to the dentist. I am proud to be part of this friendly, dedicated staff. I look forward to helping you keep your smile healthy.

Jessi

Dental Hygiene

Jessi has been an active part of the dental field for over 8 years. She started as a dental assistant with Dr. Gomez in 2009, where she quickly became passionate about dentistry. Her passion inspired her to further her education by becoming a dental hygienist. She graduated from the University of New Mexico in 2016 with a Bachelor of Science degree in dental hygiene.

Jessi is quick to make patients feel at ease by building confidence, trust, and friendship with each patient. She is extremely devoted to educating patients on their individual needs. She was born and raised in Albuquerque. In her spare time, she enjoys hiking, skiing, and spending time with family.

Annie

Administrator

My name is Annie, and I work in the front office. I am originally from McAllen, TX, but moved to New Mexico in 1976. I have been in the dental field for 13 years, working as an assistant when Dr. Gomez opened her office in 2004 and moved to the front office a few years later. My favorite part of my job is taking care of our patients, greeting them with a smile, and making them feel comfortable in our office. My hobbies include running, sewing, cooking, and taking care of my family.

Lauren

Lauren was born and raised in the Midwest and relocated from Wisconsin to Albuquerque in April 2020.  She joined our team in August and immediately felt support and warmth from the staff and patients. On completing her dental assisting program in 2016, she received a 4.0 GPA, a passion for the dental field, and was even asked to be the student speaker at graduation. She enjoys spending her free time hiking, being outdoors with her husband and dogs, and baking. Using her many years of customer service, she looks forward to meeting and helping all of Dr. Gomez’s patients.

Erica

Erica was born and raised in New Mexico. As a young girl, she knew that she wanted to work in the dental field. She was always amazed and interested when she went to her dental appointments. “I would sit in the dental chair and annoy the assistants with all of these questions about their job.” Erica started her dental career at 19 and has been working as an assistant for over 6 years now. “I'm glad I picked this field, I have learned a lot, and I have been blessed with great experiences with amazing people.”  Erica likes to work out and hang out with friends and family and loves to travel and explore the world.
